Vesey Street Capital Partners (VSCP), a private equity firm specializing in healthcare services, has completed the acquisition of ComplexCare Solutions (CCS) from Inovalon in a corporate carveout. CCS, an independent provider of health assessments and member engagement services, marks the fifth carveout transaction by VSCP and the first platform investment from its Healthcare Fund II. Adam Feinstein, Managing Partner at VSCP, stated that CCS aligns well with the firm’s strategy of investing in key growth areas within healthcare services. The company serves health plans and risk-bearing providers by offering health assessments, continuity of care, and member engagement services through in-home and telehealth consultations.
As part of the acquisition, industry veteran Benton Davis will join CCS as Executive Chairman, reporting to CEO Rachel Knight and the leadership team. Knight emphasized that the acquisition enables CCS to expand its service offerings and enhance healthcare delivery for health plan members. McDermott Will & Emery provided legal guidance while RSM assisted with financial due diligence. VSCP provided equity. VSCP manages approximately $1 billion in assets for institutional investors, family offices, and pension funds and has executed 42 deals across 12 platform firms.
