Tebra Launches AI Tool to Halve Documentation Time for Independent Healthcare Providers

Tebra has announced the launch of AI Note Assist, a HIPAA-compliant documentation tool designed to reduce administrative burdens for independent healthcare providers. Embedded directly into Tebra’s electronic health record (EHR) system, AI Note Assist listens to patient visits and automatically generates structured clinical notes, supporting formats such as SOAP, psychiatric, and therapy documentation. It also suggests ICD-10 codes based on conversation content. The solution was tested in real-world settings and validated for clinical accuracy and security. Early adopters have reported a 50% reduction in note-taking time, with the tool allowing providers to focus more on patient interactions without compromising documentation standards.

The tool aims to address physician burnout linked to administrative workloads. Angela Davis-Taylor, FNP-C, INHC, of Daisy Family Health Care stated,“My notes used to take 30 to 60 minutes because they would be so detailed. With the Tebra AI Note Assist, each of my notes today took not even five minutes.”  Erica Cheshire, ANP-BC, of Beaumont WELLness for Women added, “AI can pick up the parts of the conversation that matter the most, and filter out what’s irrelevant. So I feel like I can be myself in the room, which is comforting,” Kyle Ryan, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Tebra, highlighted that the AI tools are cost-effective and enable providers to operate more efficiently, helping them regain their edge while greatly enhancing provider satisfaction. AI Note Assist is now accessible to Tebra customers without the need for additional installations.
