symplr Releases New Platform

There’s nothing simple about healthcare operations, but there are companies out there making things easier, and symplr CEO BJ Schaknowski, a former marine with 25 years in the industry, is helping to lead the way.

On February 17, Schaknowski’s healthcare operations software and services company announced the launch of the symplr Operations Platform. Built on a scalable Amazon Web Services cloud-based infrastructure, the integrated and interoperable platform helps healthcare CIOs unify disparate systems into a single solution with standardized processes that are easier to maintain and measure.

“Our platform becomes the single source of truth as providers move from recruiting and onboarding to credentialing and scheduling. It cuts through the chaos, giving CIOs and their teams the simplicity and support they need to focus on what really drives impact—innovating and empowering care teams to provide top-notch quality care," said Schaknowski, who was appointed in 2020.

Before joining symplr as its CEO, Schaknowski served as the Chief Sales & Marketing Officer at Vertafore, an insurance technology company. He grew symplr sevenfold within his first three years as CEO, and it continues to expand, with Susan Grant joining as Chief Clinical Officer in January. Thirty years into its history, Schaknowski is ensuring symplr isn’t slowing down.
