Sutter Health, a comprehensive care healthcare system in California, and GE HealthCare, a medical technology, pharmaceutical diagnostics, and digital solutions provider, have entered into a seven-year strategic partnership, known as the Care Alliance, to enhance diagnostic imaging services across the Sutter Health system in California. This collaboration aims to expand access to advanced imaging technology, streamline patient care, and accelerate diagnostic processes. The agreement includes implementing innovative AI-powered imaging solutions, including PET/CT, MRI, and ultrasound technologies, designed to improve image quality and reduce scan times. The partnership also emphasizes consistency across care locations, enhanced patient experience, and faster adoption of the latest technologies to ensure a seamless and coordinated healthcare journey for 3.5 million patients served by Sutter Health.
The alliance supports Sutter Health’s broader strategy to expand care access with new facilities and advanced service lines, including cancer care, neurosciences, and heart and vascular care. In addition to upgrading equipment, GE HealthCare will collaborate with Sutter Health on workforce development programs, providing ongoing training for clinicians and addressing staffing needs.
