Sutter Health, a not-for-profit healthcare company, and GE HealthCare have entered a seven-year strategic partnership, called a Care Alliance, to enhance access to advanced imaging services across California. GE HealthCare offers integrated solutions, services, and data analytics to increase hospital efficiency, clinician effectiveness, therapeutic precision, and patient health and happiness. This collaboration aims to deliver innovative AI-powered imaging technology, improving diagnostic efficiency, early detection, and patient outcomes. The agreement focuses on upgrading imaging capabilities with advanced solutions, including PET/CT, MRI, and ultrasound, alongside AI-powered platforms like AIR Recon DL for improved image clarity and faster scan times. These technologies will streamline workflows, reduce hospital visits, and enhance patient and clinician experiences.
The partnership supports Sutter Health’s broader initiatives to expand care through new facilities and advanced service lines in areas including cancer care, heart and vascular health, and neurosciences. GE HealthCare will assist in accelerating technology adoption, maintaining updated equipment, and minimizing disruptions for consistent care delivery. Workforce development is a critical component, with investment in training and education programs for clinicians through Sutter Health University and outreach initiatives to address staffing shortages. By leveraging this collaboration, Sutter Health aims to provide seamless and equitable care to its 3.5 million patients while improving access to advanced diagnostic services across Northern California and the Central Coast.
