Siemens Healthineers has launched the Acuson Sequoia 3.5, an upgraded version of its ultrasound system, integrating advanced artificial intelligence features to enhance clinical workflows and diagnostic precision. The system introduces AI Abdomen, a pioneering technology that significantly reduces sonographer hand motion and streamlines abdominal imaging with automated recognition, labeling of 17 anatomical views, and computation of 12 key measurements. This innovation addresses ergonomic challenges faced by 90% of ultrasound users while reducing diagnostic variability and enabling more consistent patient care. Additionally, new breast and musculoskeletal imaging solutions, including the high-frequency HLX transducer and 2D Shear Wave technology, offer improved resolution and diagnostic capabilities, aiding in the detection of conditions such as stiff lesions and tendon tears.
With proprietary tools like Ultrasound Derived Fat Fraction (UDFF) and Auto Point Shear Wave Elastography (Auto pSWE), the Acuson Sequoia 3.5 provides precise liver quantification for assessing hepatic steatosis and fibrosis progression. Available globally and approved by the FDA, this system reinforces Siemens Healthineers' commitment to practical AI and improving healthcare accessibility. Siemens Healthineers operates in over 180 countries, specializing in imaging, diagnostics, cancer care, and minimally invasive therapies, augmented by digital and AI technologies to address critical healthcare challenges sustainably.
