Royal Philips has expanded its strategic partnership with Sim&Cure, a leader in advanced digital solutions for neurovascular therapy. Philips' objective is to consolidate its position in the interventional neuro domain through this partnership, which was initiated five years ago. By integrating Sim&Cure’s Sim&Size software into Philips' Azurion platform, the partnership enables more efficient, intuitive workflows for treating complex brain aneurysms. This advanced integration will allow physicians to simulate device placement, optimize device selection, and guide deployment directly within Azurion, eliminating the need for separate software and hardware. The goal is to reduce complexity, enhance precision, and improve efficiency in neurovascular procedures, ultimately benefiting patient outcomes.
Brain aneurysms, affecting 3-5% of the population, require precise device placement, which traditionally involves multiple manual steps and time-consuming procedures. By combining Philips' imaging technology with Sim&Cure’s simulation capabilities, the collaboration reduces procedure time and variability. With more than 5 million patients treated globally using Philips' Azurion platform, this expanded partnership reflects a continued commitment to innovation in stroke care and neurovascular therapies.
