Noom, a digital healthcare company focused on preventive health and healthy aging, has announced the appointment of Dr. Jeffrey Egler as its new Chief Medical Officer. Egler brings a strong background in family and lifestyle medicine, along with certification in functional medicine and a master’s degree in spiritual psychology. He most recently served as Medical Director at Next Health, where he led efforts in preventative medicine and wellness strategies. His prior leadership roles at Adventist Health and Parsley Health also contributed to expanding clinical protocols and team-based care models. With this appointment, Noom aims to further develop its product offerings, particularly in the field of longevity medicine, and build on the success of its GLP-1(RX) product line, which quickly reached a $100 million run-rate.
In his new role, Egler will guide Noom's clinical direction and contribute to shaping its future services. He joins Noom at a time when the company is expanding its role in health optimization, moving beyond weight management to support individuals as they age. Egler expressed enthusiasm, saying, “I have been particularly drawn to Noom’s innovative spirit and am very excited about our expanding product pipeline. There is so much potential to do more for people as they age, in addition to weight management, and I look forward to being a part of this exciting journey. Our ambition is to make Noom the front door for all to health optimization, healthy aging, and longevity.” With his expertise, Noom seeks to become a key platform for accessible and holistic health support, promoting long-term wellness and improved quality of life.
