Noom Launches Free AI Tools for Personalized Health Tracking

Noom, a digital healthcare company focused on promoting long-term health, has introduced two free features within its app: AI Body Scan and Noom Body Age. Both free and paid users can perform a 10-second body scan using their smartphone camera to receive a personalized health report. This report includes a 3D model representing the current body and a “Future Me” version based on individual health goals. Additionally, the report provides key metrics including body fat percentage, lean mass, fat mass, waist-to-hip ratio, and basal metabolic rate. Noom Body Age, a newly introduced metric, evaluates how an individual’s metabolic health compares to others in a large U.S. population data set.

The AI Body Scan offers a detailed understanding of body composition beyond traditional weight and BMI measurements, helping users track improvements over time. It supports muscle retention during weight loss, addressing risks like sarcopenic obesity. Noom Body Age serves as an indicator of metabolic health and risk factors for conditions including metabolic syndrome. Users can improve their Noom Body Age through weight management and muscle maintenance, supported by Noom’s paid tools, like Muscle Defense. These features aim to make health tracking accessible, enabling individuals to make informed decisions for healthier lives.
