Midmark Introduces Procedure Chair to Enhance Patient Accessibility

Midmark Corporation has launched the Midmark 631 Procedure Chair, designed to meet the new standards set by the U.S. Access Board (USAB) for accessibility in medical equipment. This chair is the first in the market to comply with the USAB requirements for procedure chairs, featuring a low 17-inch seat height and a transfer surface compatible with patient lifts to ensure safe and easy transfers. The design also includes articulating knee crutches, patient support rails, and other features that assist patients during exams and procedures. Midmark focused on both patient accessibility and caregiver ergonomics by providing height adjustability and powered positioning to facilitate comfortable and effective patient care.

The new chair complements Midmark’s existing USAB-compliant 626 Barrier-Free Examination Chair, making the company the only manufacturer to offer both procedure and examination chairs meeting the updated accessibility criteria. With more than 50 years of experience, Midmark continues to support healthcare providers by creating products that improve clinical workflows and patient outcomes. The company operates from its headquarters in Versailles, Ohio, alongside multiple innovation hubs and international subsidiaries, maintaining a strong presence in the medical equipment market. This latest offering aims to enhance patient comfort and caregiver efficiency in clinical settings.
