Healium Secures Sole Source Contract with U.S. Military for Biofeedback Mental Health Tools

Healium has been awarded sole source contract status with the U.S. military, expanding its reach to support 300,000 U.S. Airmen through its virtual, augmented, and mixed reality biofeedback solutions. Already in use at VA hospitals across the country, Healium offers immersive mental health tools for managing PTSD, anxiety, and sleep disturbances. The company’s patented technology connects biometric data such as EEG brainwaves, heart rate, and skin conductance, with immersive experiences designed to help users self-regulate stress and improve focus. Its products, including Sleepium, are used globally by healthcare workers, athletes, students, and now the broader military community. Clinical trials, including one by the Mayo Clinic, have shown significant anxiety reductions in as little as four minutes of use.

The contract follows Healium’s prior selection by AFWERX under the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program. With support from the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Healium’s solutions are being integrated into national defense initiatives. “We’re delighted to empower more members of the US military and VA hospitals with Healium’s mental health solutions that are uniquely powered by quantitative data from the user’s own body,” said Sarah Hill, CEO of Healium. “Of all the dashboards Airmen monitor, Healium is a way for them to train their mental resilience with their own biometric EEG brainwave or heart rate data.”
