In order to integrate glucose data with complete health indicators including stress, exercise, and sleep, Dexcom, a global pioneer in glucose biosensing, has established a strategic relationship with ŌURA, the manufacturer of the popular Oura Ring. As part of the partnership, Dexcom is making a $75 million investment in ŌURA, which is now valued at over $5 billion. By fusing Oura Ring's cutting-edge biometrics with Dexcom's industry-leading glucose biosensors, this partnership seeks to give consumers a comprehensive picture of their metabolic health. Integration of the technologies will allow data from Dexcom apps and glucose biosensors to flow seamlessly with the Oura Ring ecosystem, enabling personalized health insights. The first app integration is slated for release in the first half of 2025.
Dexcom, renowned for its pioneering innovations over the past 25 years, serves over 2.5 million users worldwide with its advanced glucose monitoring solutions, including Stelo, the first prescription-free glucose biosensor in the U.S. ŌURA has similarly reshaped health tracking with its scientifically validated Oura Ring, which monitors over 50 biometrics and supports features like meal timing for metabolic health insights. By combining medical-grade glucose monitoring with wearable biometrics, Dexcom and ŌURA aim to empower users to improve their metabolic health and make informed lifestyle choices.
