Calm, a mental health company recognized for its popular mindfulness app, has announced the global rollout of Calm Health, an evidence-based digital platform that delivers mental health support through employers, health plans, and healthcare providers. The expansion begins in the UK and Canada, where demand for accessible mental health resources continues to grow. The app integrates with benefit systems to offer personalized support based on mental health screenings and user inputs, providing content from psychologists, mindfulness tools, and recommendations tied to existing services. Calm Health already serves over 17 million people in the U.S. and is designed to meet privacy regulations in each region.
David Ko, CEO of Calm, said, “Most employers see less than 5% engagement with their employee assistance programs. Without engagement, we can’t expect meaningful outcomes.” He further added, “Expanding globally is a natural next step to make mental health support more accessible.” In the U.S., Calm Health has demonstrated success by driving higher-than-average engagement, especially among underserved populations. Alex Will, President at Calm, noted, “This expansion also allows us to better support companies with global teams by offering a single tool their people can rely on, wherever they are." The company plans to expand into more international markets later this year.
