AdvancedMD has introduced its 2025 Summer Product Release, featuring significant updates across its integrated suite of healthcare software. The release includes 20 new enhancements across practice management, electronic health records, and patient engagement tools. A key highlight is the addition of AI capabilities such as AI-generated SOAP notes, which summarize patient data into structured documentation formats. “Our product team is focused on building smart, AI-enabled automations that drive productivity across the entire practice,” said Tim Costantino, Senior Vice President and Head of Product at AdvancedMD. Other updates include enhanced medication request workflows, a new in-app narrative editor, discharge status automation, and redesigned patient portal navigation to improve usability.
In response to the changing healthcare technology landscape, AdvancedMD also announced a partnership with Waystar, establishing it as the preferred clearinghouse platform for its users. This move offers healthcare providers an alternative to Change Healthcare, with early adopters reporting favorable results. The platform also adds features like patient merge tools, appointment cancellation automation, and updates to its reputation management templates. These enhancements aim to streamline operations, reduce manual tasks, and improve both provider and patient experiences. According to a recent AMA survey, 66% of physicians are already using AI in practice, up from 38% the previous year, reflecting growing industry momentum behind such innovations.
