Ant Group has introduced AQ, an AI-powered healthcare app designed to support users with over 100 services, including doctor recommendations, medical report analysis, and personalized medical guidance. The app connects to digital services from more than 5,000 hospitals and nearly one million doctors across China. Powered by Ant Group’s Healthcare Large Model, AQ reflects the company’s expanding role in healthcare, which began in 2014 with online hospital appointment services through Alipay. The model features advanced medical reasoning, multimodal interactions, and has consistently ranked first in HealthBench and MedBench evaluations. Cyril Han, CEO of Ant Group, stated, “Ant Group hopes that through AQ, it can provide everyone with a trusted healthcare manager, advancing inclusive healthcare and bringing every Chinese citizen one step closer to a healthier life.”
As China faces an aging population projected to surpass 400 million aged 60 and above by 2035, AQ supports efforts to meet rising healthcare demands. Ant Group is integrating AI into hospitals through all-in-one healthcare machines and applications like Angel and Yibaoer, serving both patient and administrative needs. The company’s acquisition of Haodf has enabled AI-assisted diagnosis and the development of AI Doctor Agents, helping doctors manage records and educate patients. These initiatives aim to improve access, efficiency, and reliability within China’s healthcare system.
