Magellan Health and Calm Health Partner to Enhance Mental Health Support

Magellan Health, a provider of mental health, EAP, and associated services, has partnered with Calm Health, a mental health app by Calm, to enhance access to mental health resources for select employer customers and their members. This collaboration aims to improve workplace wellbeing and productivity by simplifying the process of finding appropriate support. Eligible members will access Calm Health’s evidence-based app, which uses industry-standard GAD-7 and PHQ-9 screenings to guide users to personalized mental health solutions. Recommendations range from Calm Health’s self-guided digital programs to Magellan’s clinically validated cognitive behavioral therapy solutions or direct clinical support for individuals with moderate to severe symptoms of anxiety or depression.

The partnership reflects a shared commitment to addressing emotional and psychological health needs through technology and evidence-based practices. Magellan Health President Caroline Carney highlighted the integration of digital innovation with high-touch support. Calm CEO David Ko emphasized the potential to reduce healthcare costs while fostering healthier workplaces. The collaboration aims to expand in the future, offering more tailored mental health services.
