Tenovi, a leader in cellular-connected remote patient monitoring (RPM) solutions, has announced a strategic partnership with Nonin Medical, pioneers in pulse oximetry technology, to promote equitable healthcare. This collaboration incorporates Nonin’s Model 3230 fingertip pulse oximeter into Tenovi’s RPM ecosystem, ensuring accurate and inclusive monitoring for diverse patient populations. The Model 3230 addresses inaccuracies found in lower-cost oximeters, particularly for individuals with darker skin tones, and has been proven effective under conditions such as low perfusion and dyspnea. This integration enhances Tenovi’s RPM platform, which features over 30 connected devices that streamline data aggregation and transfer through the proprietary Tenovi Cellular Gateway.
Nonin Medical, established in 1986, is renowned for its durable, noninvasive monitoring solutions used in diverse clinical environments. Its pulse oximeters are designed for reliability and precision across varying patient conditions, including skin pigmentation. Tenovi, with its API-driven platform, facilitates the automation of remote monitoring programs, empowering healthcare providers to manage chronic conditions effectively. Leaders from both organizations emphasized the role of this partnership in advancing health equity, reducing hospital readmissions, and improving chronic care management. By combining Nonin’s advanced technology with Tenovi’s robust RPM infrastructure, the collaboration aims to set new standards for inclusive and accurate patient monitoring.
