Johnson & Johnson Expands Roll-Out of TECNIS Odyssey Intraocular Lenses

Johnson & Johnson, a global leader in eye health, announced the expanded U.S. roll-out of its TECNIS Odyssey presbyopia-correcting intraocular lens. Built on the TECNIS platform, this full visual range lens aims to provide superior vision clarity at all distances, reducing the need for glasses. The TECNIS Odyssey offers patients enhanced contrast sensitivity, particularly in low light settings, and minimizes visual disturbances like halos or glare. Clinical results show that 94% of patients were satisfied with their vision without glasses, while 96% were pleased with their ability to read smartphones or tablets. The technology also offers improved night-time visibility, making it an ideal solution for presbyopia correction during cataract surgery.

Johnson & Johnson’s Vision segment continues to innovate in the field of eye care, addressing the needs of millions of Americans affected by cataracts and presbyopia. The TECNIS Odyssey IOL has already seen regulatory approvals in Japan, the EU, and several other countries. As part of the launch, the company introduced the "TECNIS Odyssey IOL Peer Connect" program to facilitate knowledge sharing among healthcare professionals. Johnson & Johnson continues to focus on providing solutions for presbyopia and cataracts, conditions affecting millions of Americans.
